Your health is the subject of this course. Let the professor know whether you are interested to serve as teaching assistant (TA). Enjoy your health. Come to the announced in-person orientation, if you can. Attendance is optional. More orientations may be scheduled later.

1. Purchase the required textbook is An Invitation to Health, by Dianne Hales, 2009-2010 Edition, Wadsworth Publishing Company.

2. Carefully read the the COURSE HOME PAGE at www.flc.losrios.edu/~klimes and the COURSE ASSIGNMENT PAGE at www.flc.losrios.edu/~klimes/assign.htm. Then log on to www.d2l.losrios.edu  as instructed and update your email address. Weekly read the Course Announcements posted at that site.

3. The COURSE WORK consists of 16 online modules with assignments (80% of your grade, 50 points each), and four tests (20%). All tests are online and multiple choice. Test 4 is, in a way, the final test. A total possible 1000 points are given. There may be deductions if an assignment is late.

  4. The ASSIGNMENTS ( see www.flc.losrios.edu/~klimes/assign.htm ) are to be complete every Monday (by midnight at the latest).  Submit the Assignment answers to the professor's D2L Digital Drop Box. The instructor usually responds within one day and posts the grades weekly.  

5. By Thursdays, do the 2 BULLETIN BOARD postings in one of the listed groups. 

6. When EMAILING questions or comments to klimesr@flc.losrios.edu   list in the email subject heading "HEED300" to show that the email concerns this course, then the student's full name, and lastly the number, letter or topic of the assignment, like A1 etc.

7. If you fail to submit anything for 3 weeks you may be dropped. This course deals with facts and action and demands commitment of time and effort. Do not take this course if you cannot put in the required study.

8. Student INTRODUCTIONS: Email us who you are: a. your name, b. your age or age-group, c. your field of study/major, d. your employment, if any, e. your email address. Email this to klimesr@flc.losrios.edu by January 16, 2009. By this your professor will know that you are active in the class.
