Energy Science and Technology Virtual Library: "EnergyFiles is a virtual library of over 500 science and technology databases and Web sites. Sponsored, developed, and maintained by the Department of Energy's Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), this site provides access to information, tools, and technologies relevant to the Department of Energy (DOE), with an emphasis on the physical sciences. This page contains an enhanced alphabetical listing of all resources available through the service. It can be used for locating a specific collection or resource or for browsing the entire list of resources. Organization of resources by subject area is available through the Subject Pathways."

Khan Academy:The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of providing a high quality education to anyone, anywhere. Available are 1200+ videos on YouTube covering everything from basic arithmetic and algebra, to differential equations, physics, chemistry, biology and finance which have been recorded by Salman Khan, the 2009 Tech Award winner in Education. Molecular Structures: A very extensive molecular database that provides 3D images to 100's of molecular structures, provided by MathMol.

 

Organic Chemistry: WEB-sters Organic Chemistry categorizes organic chemistry educational resources and applications on a free site. The links include atomic and molecular orbitals, isomerism and sterochemistry, and spectroscopy. Professor Nick Turro from Columbia University and Ron Rusay from Diablo Valley College/Universitry of California at Berkeley developed the site as part of the "ChemConnections" program.

 

Prescription Drug Information: First launched in 1996 as a source to find lists or directories of information in health and medicine, this Hardin MD site provides links to Drug Information and Resources. Created and maintained by the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences.

Science Search: This specialized search engine focuses primarily on scientific issues. Use this search engine to find educational and research information available on the web.

 

SciNet: A specialized directory and search engine covering only science subjects.
