About Instructional Television

Folsom Lake College's televised instruction provides a different way for students to take courses toward an AA Degree, certificate or transfer. Taking the courses at home or at a convenient outreach center can save time, money and transportation or childcare costs.

Folsom Lake College offers Interactive Television:

The instructional television system brings students live, interactive classes, broadcast from the main campus in Folsom to other centers & colleges throughout the district, and over several area cable systems. Students participate in classes by telephone (toll free) to report attendance and ask questions or participate in discussions. Students attend campus or outreach center classes only to take exams, with some accommodations made for student schedules. Student participation is expected. Students can watch class from home beginning on the first day of instruction.
